Course Overview
This course is designed for people with no prior knowledge of Excel 2010 or Excel spreadsheets in general. They may be able to enter data but would like to be able to format the information and set up the spreadsheet to give it a more professional appearance for presentation purposes or printing. They may want to learn how to enter an Excel formula so that it automatically updates when changes are made the data stored within the Excel spreadsheet or learn how to make a chart based on the information stored on the worksheet. It would be helpful to have a basic understanding of computers and basic typing skills.
Upon completion of this course students will gain an understanding of the concepts and terminology used in Microsoft Excel 2010. They will be able to confidently enter, navigate, edit and format data, use and enter a range of basic formulas using the inbuilt Excel tools and wizards, and print their existing workbooks. Students will also gain skills working with the Excel ‘file ribbon’, build and update Excel charts and work with multiple windows within the Excel 2010 environment.
