Word Intermediate Course

Course Overview

This is a one-day training course tailored to teach users who are already familiar with Microsoft Word 2016 how to take advantage of some of Word’s more complicated functions. Our dedicated instructors are well versed in all things related to Microsoft Word, and deliver expert instructions using clear demonstrations, hands-on exercises and real-world examples. We also provide all of the required equipment.

During the course, you’ll build upon existing skills and learn valuable techniques to create more effective and professional Word documents. Our intermediate course covers some of Word’s more advanced formatting techniques including how to add images, tables, lists, headers, footers, Building Blocks, images and WordArt. You’ll also learn how to apply different styles, add cover pages, import contents from different platforms and use the mail merge function.

Upon completion of the Word Intermediate 2016 course, you’ll leave with the confidence and new skills needed to produce professional, attractive documents using streamlined processes. All students receive a certificate of completion along with a comprehensive course manual you can work through at home and access to 12 months of assistance from Raising the Bar. You’ll also have the proficiency required to attend one of our Word Advanced 2016 courses.

The Word Intermediate Training Course has been carefully tailored for users who want to build on their existing Word skills to go beyond the basic functions. Whether you’re using Word for home or office, this course is ideal if you want to create documents that utilise some of Word’s more advanced features and it is perfect for employees who want to increase efficiency through higher quality document preparation.

Participants who attend this course already have proficiency with the fundamentals of Microsoft Word and know how to create and print basic documents using different fonts and page layouts. This course if right for you if you want to learn how to work more effectively within documents by using tables, creating drawings, performing mail merges and improving overall productivity with a range of automation features.

Raising the Bar Intermediate Word courses are available via appointment in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra, Brisbane and Perth. Public courses are also held throughout the year within our Sydney training facility.
