This course is designed for people with no prior knowledge of Excel or Excel spreadsheets. They may be able to enter data into their excel spreadsheets however would like to be able to format the spreadsheet to give it a more professional look and feel for printing. They may want to learn how to enter a formula so that it automatically updates when changes are made or learn how to make a chart out of the data already entered into their existing Excel worksheets. It would be beneficial to have a basic understanding of computers and basic typing skills.
As a result of this course students will gain understanding of the concepts and terminologies used in Microsoft Excel. They will be able to confidently enter, edit, navigate and format data, create and edit basic formulas and print their workbooks. Students will also gain an insight into working with Excel charts, understand and navigate the new Excel ‘ribbon’ and work with multiple windows.
